I was so pumped when I first started using my new Cirrus II electronic cigarette by White Cloud. Right out of the box, the flavor was awesome, the drags were consistent and the throat hit was perfect. After making a quick video review, I took the Cirrus II with me on a vacation. I used the e cig in the airport, on the airplane, playing poker with friends, playing poker in the casino and everywhere else I could. I am back to report that my love for the Cirrus II has continued to grow.

I was extremely pleased with the presentation of the Cirrus II starter kit. It is packaged in a different manner than any other electronic cigarette I have seen and really seemed to be boxed for a retail setting. The cartridges are packed rather tightly in their cardboard box but other than that, the packaging is flawless.

After pulling out one of the cartridges, it’s hard to miss the “Smooth Draw Technology” logo printed on the side. This intrigued me as the draw from a cartridge can really make or break your vaping experience. On the first drag from the Cirrus II, I could see why White Cloud was so proud of these special cartridges. The draw is the closest to a regular cigarette that I have found. Then I noticed the flavor of the full-flavored regular tobacco cartridge. I have tried many, many e-liquids and this one was an instant favorite. It is a smooth and tasty, semi-sweet, nutty flavor that always leaves me wanting more. With the great flavor comes an amazing throat hit that is identical to my old smokes – Parliament Lights. The vapor production is also almost exactly the same as an analog. Needless to say, I am wowed by the full-flavored tobacco cartomizers. I am a little less impressed by the menthol and vanilla cartomizers, but they are still superior to many other varieties that I have used.

During my weekend-long trial, I only had to charge a battery once. They easily last a full day of normal vaping, and the performance is extremely strong and unusually consistent up until the moment the battery dies. The liquid in the cartridges have been lasting nearly two full days before I begin to notice the “burnt” taste of low juice. White Cloud states that they developed the Cirrus II after receiving requests for a small battery with great performance. They hit the nail on the head, and drove it home with the best performing cartomizers I have personally used.

Along with my starter kit, I also got a blue Cirrus Clam Shell Case. This hard case is very slim and holds two cartridges and two batteries. I was able to comfortably carry the case, the small USB charger and an extra 5-pack of cartomizers (which I didn’t end up needing) in my pocket all weekend. Security at the airport was a breeze as everything is so compact. This is the ultimate traveling electronic cigarette package, and it will be accompanying me on any trip I take.

I’ve noticed a few other things after extensive use that took me by surprise. First, the batteries charge in under an hour. I’m used to waiting two hours or more for my e-cig batteries to fully charge and the short charge time of the Cirrus II is a great change of pace. Second, this electronic cigarette doesn’t get hot. Most atomizers get very warm to the touch after taking a few puffs in a row. Hot atomizers can also change the taste of the eliquid and the overall experience. The temperature of the Cirrus II atomizer remains consistent at a perfect temperature, no matter how many times you puff it.

Unfortunately the silver lining does end at the price. The cost of the cartridges is very fair, but (at the time of writing this review) the cost of the Cirrus II starter kit is very hefty. The high price tag will undoubtedly keep many people from experiencing the sheer awesomeness of this electronic cigarette which is a very sad thing. I consider the Cirrus II to be the Rolls Royce of two-piece mini e-cigs, and this is a perfect case of “you get what you pay for,” but I really hope that the cost comes down.

If you’re willing to spring for the initial cost of the Cirrus II starter kit, I guarantee you will fall in love. It’s like the gorgeous date, that gives you the night of your life, and then sticks you with a big bar tab at close; sometimes it’s just worth it.
