South Beach Smoke does a great job of promoting their electronic cigarettes. Their website is very clean and user friendly. The packaging is exciting. They offer great rebate gifts and membership offers. So we wanted to see if the actual electronic cigarettes live up to the hype. I like the presentation of the Deluxe kit. The packaging is crisp and bright and everything fits together nicely. The “membership card” is a neat idea that several other electronic cigarette companies are beginning to include in their kits. The card doesn’t get you any perks, but it does explain exactly what an electronic cigarette is. It is meant to be handed to bouncers, law enforcement, or any other person that would potentially give you trouble for vaping in their establishment. It reads:

The South Beach Smoke e-Cigarette is not a “cigarette”. The unit produces NO second-hand smoke, odor, flame or carbon monoxide.

The “smoke like” vapor that the unit emits is not smoke.

AS SUCH IT SHOULD NOT BE SUBJECT TO ANY STATE OR FEDERAL “NO SMOKING” LAWS.

The vapor is made up of nicotine, propylene glycol, water and other non-harmful elements such as flavoring. Please allow this Club Member to continue using the South Beach Smoke e-Cigarette in your establishment or transportation vehicle.

One of the main benefits of electronic cigarettes is that you can legally use them almost anywhere. However, I have had one experience where I was asked to stop vaping at a theater, and maybe this card would have helped my case.

Getting to the goodies in the box, I found two batteries – one long and one short. The short battery looks more like a traditional cigarette, while the long battery lasts surprisingly longer before needing to be recharged. Also included in the kit are a 5-pack of various flavored cartomizers and a short wall charger. Each cartomizer contains a fresh atomizer and is color-coded to indicate the flavor. Also printed on each cartomizer is a number specifying the nicotine strength.

It took me some time to get used to the draw on the Deluxe e-cig. There are four holes between the battery and cartomizer to allow air to be pulled into the cartomizer, which activates the battery. Typically, two-piece models have smaller holes or none at all. When I tried to take the light, slow drags that I’m used to with these types of electronic cigarettes, I wasn’t having much luck. After taking a harder and quicker drag, I got a pretty decent amount of vapor and a good throat hit. An advantage of having larger holes is that the increased airflow keeps the atomizer much cooler than normal. This means that the flavor doesn’t change the more you use it. Below is a rundown of each cartridge flavor:

  • Tobacco – Highest vapor volume. Good flavor. Good throat-hit. My favorite.
  • Menthol – Slightly less vapor production than tobacco. More minty that menthol. Great throat hit.
  • Chocolate – Mediocre vapor production. Great taste. Minimal throat hit.
  • Cherry – Good vapor production. Average cherry taste. OK throat hit.
  • Vanilla – Good vapor production. Very subtle taste. Minimal throat hit.

South Beach Smoke insists that the cartridge life of the Deluxe cartomizers equals 1.5 – 2 packs of traditional cigarettes. Although it is difficult to determine if this is exactly the case, we believe that it is a good estimate after completely draining a few cartridges.

    This is a great product, i have tried a few and this one is so far certainly one of the best. I’ve tried patches and gum in the past, but there’s something about drawing in that I just need to have, the eCigs hit that need and hopefully will get me off the real thing!

    I’ve tried a few brands before I found South Beach Smoke. Their e-cigs are the closest thing I’ve found to a real cigarette except my clothes and breath doesn’t stink anymore. I enjoy them in the house and even my wife doesn’t complain. I’ve recommended them to a few family members and everyone loves them.

    South Beach Smoke was the third e-cigarette company I tried. Thankfully, they had the price, quality and service I was looking for. Their home delivery program is great and since they deliver cartridges to my door every month I don’t feel the urge to pick up my old cigarette smoking habit. Any e-cigarette smoker will tell you that e-cigs aren’t exactly like smoking a cigarette but they are close enough and South Beach Smoke is the best out there.

    I got my deluxe starter kit about two weeks ago and I have not smoked a regular cigarette since! All my friends that smoke are always asking me to use it because they think it’s brilliant, just like I do. I always tell them to get one because it was one of the best purchases I have ever made. They will get one eventually, I know it.

    I have had this product for three months or so and am now completely off regular cigarettes. The experience is not 100% the same but enough to make it pretty easy to make the switch. I tried two other e-cig products before this one but they didn’t work and South Beach Smoke did. I would highly recommend this product.

    Well South Beach Smoke will get the #1 ranking without any question. Here’s my story, Got mine yesterday. I’m thrilled from this. Battery managed to get all day long lengthy extended. Provided the nicotine fix I preferred right inside my desk. Oddly enough enough, I smoked the ecig under I’d normally smoke the specific ones. I suppose the pure nicotine satisfied me after 1-2 puffs instead of drawing lower a whole cigarette like i’d normally do. I known to his or her customer service now to request about charging and they also were probably the best people I’ve ever labored in the person service Dept. Very friendly and useful.     I received my package yesterday – required 4 days to reach and everything is at top condition. I haven’t smoked a genuine cigarette since i have first got it despite as being a 2 pack each day smoker for 22 years. Battery lasts in regards to a day. I acquired the menthol also it tastes great.     I got my kit about a month ago and absolutely love it. I haven’t smoked a regular cig in 4 weeks and have no desire to. I have had nothing but a great experience — everything from their customer service to the actual product has been above expectations.     I received my Deluxe kit 7 days ago and haven’t smoked a regular cig since. IT’s really amazing. I feel better already and don’t feel like I’m missing my nicotine fix. I only wish I had found south beach smoke before. My mother recommended them after trying a few companies… thanks mom.
