Electric cigarettes can mean different things for different people. For those that want to be able to smoke generally everywhere without restrictions, it offers that luxury against regular cigarettes. Also, for those who may want to quit smoking, special smokeless cigarettes of the non-nicotine variety can help ease them away from cigarettes.

Well, you will save your lungs from inhaling smoke, but you will still get the calming benefit (if you can call it that), of the nicotine.

So I would say – yes – they are worth it for you because you enjoy smoking.

I've been smoking a long time and I was wondering if anyone has done an evaluation to list the pros and cons of e-cigarettes as opposed to real cigarettes. I don't care about the health pros/cons as much as the viability of them being cheaper/more convenient replacements to cigarettes so if you want to discuss that I'll point you to another question in the health category.
